Poster Museum in Wilanów – closed until further notice
The museum opened in 1968 in the former riding school, belonging to the Wilanów Palace. It was the first museum of this type in the world.
Its collection includes over 50,000 items, including a collection of the Polish Poster School, collections of Polish, American and European posters from the late nineteenth century to the present, as well as works by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Stasys Eidrigevičius.
Every two years, the museum organizes the International Poster Biennale, which is appreciated by critics, graphic designers and visitors from around the world. The museum’s exhibitions have included posters from artists such as: Jan Młodożeniec, Henryk Tomaszewski, Roman Cieślewicz, Waldemar Świerzy, Franciszek Starowieyski, Wiesław Rosocha, Jan Sawka, Jan Lenica, Hiroshi Tanaka, Andy Warhol, Uwe Loesch, Milton Glaser, Paul Davis and Andre Francis.
