The WARSAWPOLIS GUIDE application is a single, complete, virtual guide which will take you through the most interesting places and attractions of the Warsaw metropolis and encourage you to explore the region creatively.

In our application, you will find:

Attractions of Warsaw and 21 surrounding Municipalities – famous and less known tourist attractions of Warsaw, Czosnów, Góra Kalwaria, Halinowo, Karczew, Kobyłka, Konstancin-Jeziorna, Legionowo, Lesznowola, Marki, Milanowek, Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, Otwock, Podkowa Leśna, Pruszków, Radzymin, Stare Babice, Sulejówek, Wolomin, Ząbki, Zielonka and Żyrardów.

Tourist Routes – original thematic routes with interactive technological solutions: augmented reality AR, animated guide figures on some routes, e.g. an elk, King Stanisław August Poniatowski, panoramas and other multimedia referring to a given place

Tourist Sites – almost 800 Sites of various types, e.g. monuments, green areas, cultural institutions, shopping centres

Maps – each route and object is displayed on the map, marked by line or icon

Planner – allows you to plan your visit according to your personal preferences and criteria

Push Notifications – inform about current events in Warsaw and its municipalities

E-postcards – allows you to create a personalised virtual postcard and send it to the person of your choice

The application is available in nine language versions, meets the requirements of WCAG 2.1, and the descriptions of tourist sites are also available in the form of audio description.

Main goal of the project: The main goal of the project is to improve the quality of life of residents and visitors, including tourists, by providing a package of e-services facilitating multi-level interaction with municipalities and the use of public services using mobile technologies.

Thematic objectives:

Increasing the availability of public spaces and public services in the WOF area;
Making the WOF cultural and tourist offer more attractive and accessible;
Preparation for the implementation (examination of needs, selection of technology) of a tool for planning travel and moving around the WOF area by public transport;
Providing an e-control tool in the form of a system that will improve the control of parking space fees;
Increasing the awareness of institutions and individuals about the air quality in the WOF area.

The scope of the project covers 5 thematic areas:

E-accessibility – implementation of a micro-navigation and contextual information system, which is intended to facilitate movement in public spaces, including inside buildings, and to increase the availability of information and improve the handling of matters in public offices, in particular for people with visual impairments.

E-tourism – creating a virtual, personalized, mobile guide for tourists and residents, promoting the tourist and cultural offer of municipalities, combined with contextual information, elements of augmented reality and gamification (e.g. interactive sightseeing paths, city games).

E-transport – preparation for the implementation (analysis of needs, selection of technology) of a tool for planning travel and moving around the WOF area by public transport, in the form of an smart mobile application based on real-time data, flexibly reacting to changes and having a contextual information module.

E-parking – creation of the SPPN e-control system, which will strengthen control services and optimize control, which will significantly increase its effectiveness and, consequently, improve the deteriorating parking situation in Warsaw and help improve air quality.

E-environment – creation of a system for collecting, processing and presenting data on environmental parameters in the area of air quality in real time.
