Warsaw Film Festival is in the elite group of events recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations FIAPF as international film festivals – next to Cannes, Berlin, Venice Locarno, or San Sebastian. Since 1985 we present films that encourage viewers to discuss what they’ve just seen and these are usually eye-opening experiences: fresh, new, rebellious, extraordinary. With great passion we follow trends, but long to be truthful to tradition. Among the filmmakers whose films we presented first at Warsaw Film Festival are: Michael Haneke, Lenny Abrahamson, Asghar Farhadi, Wim Wenders, Cristian Mungiu or Paweł Pawlikowski.

This year a record-breaking number of short and feature length films was submitted – that is as many as 4800. During the 34. edition of WFF we’ll be presenting the latest films from, among many others: Claire Denis, Naomi Kawase, Valerii Golino, Gastóna Duprata, Guillaume Nicloux and Krzysztof Zanussi.

All films presented with Polish and English subtitles.
